When dilution is done correctly, it can dilute any sort of medicine. Dilution was being done purposely by people trying to beat drug tests, according to a 2013 study published in the Journal of Addiction Medicine, and it was successfully hiding drug use (Price).

Can A Detox Drink Be Identified Through A Drug Test?

Detox drinks made entirely of natural substances found in a typical diet are undetectable. If you consume a detox drink that does not contain creatine or b-vitamins, you may be detected. Creatinine levels that are too high indicate dilute urine or renal or muscle damage. If a result comes back dilute, it is invalid, even if the dilution was not intentional and merely the result of disease or over-hydration. Drug testers may rarely try to lower the drug cut-off values of dilute specimens (Fraser and Zamecnik). This is however not yet standard practice.
